Transformation through the book of Colossians

Many people ask why Gospel Joy produced a Bible study on the book of Colossians. They wonder if it is a favorite book or if there was a revelation from the Lord. While I certainly enjoy the book of Colossians, it is not my favorite. I simply saw a need for theological education in a form that is relatable to those of oral learning preferences so that their lives might be transformed.

In Colossians chapter one it says, “For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you. We continually ask God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives, so that you may live a life worthy of the Lord.” 

We decided to record a study on the book of Colossians because we want oral learners to be transformed into people who are worthy of the Lord. Gospel Joy’s study on Colossians is the only Bible Study designed for oral preference learners that focuses on this book of the Bible. There are plenty of stories from the Bible available to oral learners but not deep theological education which the Epistles provide for the church. Through Gospel Joy’s Bible Study of the book of Colossians, oral preference learners will deepen their understanding of the Gospel, which is enriched by Paul’s theology.
